K-drama is the Weapon Fashioned Against Me.

In my defense, a couple of them are pretty interesting. I particularly enjoy the medical plots with excellent facilities and surgeons always leaving me in awe. Or their corporate life themes, I still have pictures in my memories of one where start ups had to pitch their business ideas and share one workspace building with others. I also love that team dinners is a thing, the pouring of drinks and turning to the side to drink to show respect, getting wasted with other team members rank and position notwithstanding, karaokes too. I can’t forget their technological advancement accessible to the majority of the people.

However, as much as it feels like a comfy blanket you always want to wrap yourself around with, they’re still the WFAM because in my productive time, I start by watching one episode. I convince myself “I’m just using it to relax” or “it’s just accompanying my meal" yet I don’t leave till that 1 hour is complete or I just finished a very strenuous thing “let me rest small“ Gosh I can’t believe I did all these (covers face). The most ridiculous of them is “I’ll work when I’m done watching" lol. Few minutes after I stop reading subtitles, I’m on La la land and the other tasks for the day find themselves in the next day’s To-do list and the cycle continues.

While I struggle with this, the truth is I know I shouldn’t be doing it. I understand priority and how important things should be done first before “fun" or “rest" (whatever that is) and no, it’s not about K-drama. Sometimes it’s mindlessly strolling down the streets of IG and the green app. I’m sick of them but I still go back multiple times a day. And other little things that steal your productive time too.
