Life…

Last night, I found myself bored and decided to 'gist' with a friend. Surprisingly, this conversation turned out to be the best I've had in a while. We casually started the conversation with our dream country and why we want to go there, and all of that. It evolved to walking daily in God's way, 'cause it's through Him that we'll be able to achieve all we need.

She talked about being grateful to God, despite us not being worthy, and also about stories she's heard and what she's seen. I noticed something when she said that and asked her what the story was. She said a woman who lives near her suddenly lost her husband and three children simultaneously. I didn't grasp the content of the story, but it made me realize something.

We live life shallowly, acting anyhow, despite knowing that God isn't please with our activities. We forget the fact that everything good happening to us is not because we're worthy of them, but because of the love and mercy of God. We fail to understand that we are to walk daily with God, conscious of His Presence evident in our lives.

Life is not all about the trends on social media, the fun of all the challenges here and there. There's more to life. If you truly make God the master planner of your life now (while it's not too late), you'll see the great evidence in the fruits you reap later in life. Would you rather sow good seed now and reap great fruits later? Or would you prefer living your life as it pleases you now, and look for God later when it's (almost ) too late? The choice is yours to make.

You feel like the battles you face now is the end of the world, but that's because you've not let God take over the battle. Surrender all to Him, make Him yours, and you will be His. When I thought of what many people are facing now (hardship, famine, death, suffering, etc.), a Bible portion I had read earlier came to my mind. It says, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8 vs 31). There is no battle we cannot win as long as the Lord is with us.

To conclude, today is Sunday, a time for worship and seeking God's face at His presence. As you go to the house of the Lord today, remember that He's Lord of all, and wants you to be His son/daughter. Let go of people and things that seem to tie you down and let the Lord take the lead. And I assure you, you won't regret it. Remember, life is short. The end is near. How conscious are you of Christ's coming? Because you don't see the signs near you doesn't mean they're not happening. Be prepared! Happy Sunday beloved. I am El Shava.
