What's worth sharing? What message or idea is worth using 7 paragraphs, or less, to express?
Well, why does it matter? Putting yourself out there is one of the ways to build your personal brand. People have to know you for something. And your local community is too small a pool to depend on for meaningful networks. (I mean, how many times do we walk on the street to network with people. We don't. Because we don't—we don't have to explain why, we just don't.)
So, why Notes? For one, less noise. Frankly, you can write things here you know some people will never see—unless you share them the link. Less noise is more peace. It’s quiet here.
One last thing, 7 paragraphs start a new creative challenge. It’s just like how 140 characters, from Twitter, erupted a new creative and editorial behaviour we all love. (Though now, Twitter, now X, is more confusing to rationalise what it’s for.)
That’s it. In 5 paragraphs, a simple message can be shared. It’s not so tiny and lacking context, like Twitter’s 140 characters, but also not so bulky like Medium or Substack’s full-page article.
Notes is for when your brain says more than a tweet, but less than a novel—not too short, not too long. Just right.
Hope to see what you share: https://www.netintui.com/
